Special Diet Request
Committed to serving each and every one of our student’s dietary needs
The Oxnard Union High School District (OUHSD) proudly announces participation in the California (CA) Universal Melas, Community Eligibility Provision (CEP), and Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). Under CA Universal Meals and CEP, OUHSD students will be offered breakfast and lunch at no charge. Under CACFP, OUHSD students will be offered supper and snack at no charge.
Students are able to receive one free breakfast, one free lunch, and one free supper & snack each school day. The District is committed to make sure students have the opportunity to eat nutritious meals throughout the school year.
Meal Service will commence on your student's first day of school and will run through the entire school year. Meal Service is no offered on Holidays and breaks when school is not in session.
All our menus follow strict requirements for calories, saturated fat, sugar, sodium and whole grains outlined in the Healthy Hunger Free Kids Act (HHFKA). There is no discrimination and use a computerized system where all computer meal transactions are the same. Please take advantage of the variety of menu items offered through Nutrition Services including fresh salads, wraps, sandwiches and vegetarian options daily.

Farm to School Program
Our Farm to School Program is designed for the students, by our students. Our mission is to ensure that students have access to good quality, fresh, and locally grown produce each day.
Our program collects feedback through surveys, taste testing events, and social media that Nutrition Services uses to plan the school menu. Our program promotes health and wellness on campus through events and awareness campaigns and creates and maintains school gardens that provide fruits and vegetables for the cafeterias.
We are always searching for more partners in our community to support this vital program for our students. We need to raise funds to support our farm field trips and growing school gardens. We also welcome donations of supplies and friends, family, and neighbors who would like to volunteer.
