Tutoring
Channel Islands High School and Oxnard Union High School District provide students with a variety of opportunities for academic intervention and supports that include on-site tutoring by classroom teachers during lunch, before, and after school, Saturday School, and tutoring support with Upward Bound.
Saturday School
Saturday School provides tutoring and targeted academic support for all students in their core subjects; English, Math, Science, and Social Science. This is a great opportunity for students to receive extra academic support from their teachers, make up missing assignments, study for tests, and work on class projects. Students who attend one full Saturday will also have one day of absence cleared.
The Program runs from 8:30 AM - 12:45 PM. Students should arrive on time and are expected to cooperate and follow all regular school rules including dress code. Transportation will not be provided. Please make arrangements to pick up students no later than 12:45 p.m.
