Graduation Requirements
Students must earn a total of 230 credits to graduate and receive a diploma from Channel Islands High School. The number of classes a student takes and passes with a grade of "D" or better will determine the number of credits a student earns.

QUARTER SYSTEM
Each class in a quarter is worth 5 credits, and each quarter is equal to one semester of instruction. At Channel Islands, classes in Quarters 1 and 2 correspond to Semester 1 and Quarters 3 and Quarter 4 correspond to Semester 2.
All students will have a minimum of three classes per quarter. Although some may have a full schedule of four classes. Students can earn anywhere between 60-80 credits during the school day.
