Girls State is a nationally recognized program that has been in place for over 76 years. Representative students (Delegates chosen from each school site) from all over California participate a summer week long leadership camp in the summer. The students chosen to attend the summer camp learn about inner workings, structure & responsibilities of local, state & national government, as well as about themselves. This is sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary and offered to 11th grade females.
Please help me congratulate our five CIHS girls that interviewed in front a panel of five people on Monday, February 3rd. From these five girls, a Delegate, 1st Alternate, and 2nd Alternate were selected. Congratulations to our selected Delegate, Ms. Yajaira Arroyo!!!
