Mock Trial

On Friday, September 27, Michelle Carballo, a former Raider and four-year Mock Trial member, came to speak to the Mock Trial class 0 period to ask the team to volunteer at this year’s Asylum Advocacy Conference that’s sponsored by The Colleges of Law in Ventura along with the Law Office of Vanessa Frank and co-sponsored by the Santa Barbara and Ventura Colleges of Law, the Ventura County Bar Association, and the Immigrant Legal Defense Center. Powerhouse speakers will be at the center of this landmark event and our students will be able to network with attorneys, judges, and other community advocates. Our students will find meaningful opportunities to make a difference and about 16 students signed up to help and attend the conference coming up in November. Early Academic Outreach Program

Early Academic Outreach Program coordinated a CSU Application workshop for students, on Thursday, October 3rd, periods 2 and 3. Admission counselor from CSUCI Cesar Rangel, provided students with a brief presentation on the admission process for the CSU system and tips on how to complete the application. After the presentation the students received assistance with the CSU application. 


Early Academic Outreach Program coordinated the Senior College Night that took place on Thursday, October 3rd. Students and Parents were able to received crucial information on the college application process. Special thank to the Representatives from California Lutheran University, California State University Channel Islands, University of California Santa Barbara and Oxnard College  that make this night possible.


EAOP College Site Coordinator, Griselda Sanchez attended the CSUCI Counselor Breakfast on Friday, October 4th.
