Business and Finance Academy

On Tuesday January 22, 2019, Soane Sevelo, Licensed Financial Professional with AXA Advisors, and CIHS BFA Advisory Board President, visited the CIHS Business and Finance Academy (BFA) Sophomores’ class to speak with them on the subject of Professionalism. Mr. Sevelo’s visit helped to bring real meaning to what the students had just finished learning in class on the subject. He related what they had learned to what they should do each day as a student, and what he must do each day as a working professional.

Students were also curious about Mr. Sevelo’s line of work and he answered their career-related questions as well, noting that his work and typical day is very much like that of an entrepreneur.

Naturally, students were also excited to learn that professionals in his field typically start out making about $50k annually, and top performers in the LA area make as much as $20 million/year… He made sure to also stress the importance of ethical behavior, doing what’s best for the client at all times.

All in all, it was a wonderful educational opportunity for all BFA sophomores.
