Marine Science Academy
On Wednesday the Marine Science Academy held their annual Kick-Off Event at the Channel Islands National Park Visitor Center in the Ventura Harbor. We had stations led by Park Rangers and teachers. Students had opportunities to learn what it takes to be a National Park Ranger, learned about our local islands and the biodiversity of plants and animals in and out of the water. The Wilderness Institute was also on hand to lead some team/community building activities. At the end of the day students were praised and thanked by the park service staff for their stellar behavior, attentiveness, and eagerness to learn and be stewards for our local environment. Thank you to all the MSA teachers and students for your hard work in making this event a success.
