Beach Clean up
Saturday Sept. 16 was International Coastal Cleanup Day. A group of CI students from MSA and AVID ventured out to Ormond Beach where we helped clean up the beach. We cleared about 4-5 large bags of trash. Some of our findings included styrofoam dishes, balloons, starbucks cups, and straws. We were rewarded for our hard work with free food provided by NRG Energy Facility and The Grilled Cheese Truck. Thanks to all who participated. I hope to see yoi again next year!
Raider Athletics! In this week of September, fall sports was competitive. Girls Tennis took on their second league match against Pacifica and played solid. Girls Volleyball fought hard but came up short losing 3 sets in their first league match against Oxnard. Boys Water-polo faced Oxnard and came short with score of 8-15. Football will be facing San Marcos on their second away game and are projected to do very well.
